Plant ranges from 6 to 30 inches in height...ergo sharp macro of entire plant difficult.
Plants are rangy, i.e. compound leaves droop away from peduncle creating need for large depth-of-field.
Sideview of plant emerging from ground. Note: lack of stem and the sprawling form of the umbel and compound leaf.
View of wildflower in grassland habitat of open forest, shrub steppe and prairie.
Note the leaf blades, very similar to blades of grass. Difficult to isolate from grasses.
Note the vertical and horizontal jumble of leaflets and leaf blades. Difficult for sharp focus.
Flat-topped umbel not compact, subject to wind movement. Difficult for sharp focus of parts.
Macro of entire inflorescence challenging. Umbel width and movement main variables.
